User Guide

Navigate to the AfCFTA/AIDA Impact Assessment Platform using your web browser:

• URL: https://afcfta-aida.auda-nepad.org
• Supported Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest versions)
• Requirements: Internet connection, modern web browser

The platform serves different types of users:

• Stakeholders: Business owners, exporters, importers, manufacturers
• Country Focal Points: Government officials managing country data
• Platform Administrators: AUDA-NEPAD staff managing the system
• Analysts: Researchers analyzing impact assessment data

To access administrative features, you need to register:

1. Click on "Register" or "Sign Up" button
2. Fill in required information:
   • Full Name
   • Email Address
   • Country
   • Organization
   • Password (minimum 8 characters)
3. Select your user role
4. Click "Create Account"
5. Check your email for verification link

Access your account:

1. Click "Login" button on the homepage
2. Enter your email and password
3. Click "Sign In"
4. You'll be redirected to your dashboard

Your dashboard provides quick access to key features:

• Statistics Cards: View total responses, countries, and assessment tools
• Quick Actions: Access surveys, reports, and data management
• Recent Activity: See latest survey submissions
• Navigation Menu: Access all platform features

The main navigation menu includes:

• Dashboard: Home page with overview
• Surveys: Access all survey tools
• Results: View survey results and analytics
• Reports: Generate and download reports
• Settings: Manage your account and preferences

To complete a survey:

1. Go to "Stakeholder Portal" from the dashboard
2. Choose your survey type:
   • Tool A: AfCFTA Potential Impact Assessment
   • Tool B: Enabling Environment Survey
   • Tool C: AIDA Industrialization Survey
3. Click "Start Survey" on your chosen tool

Complete the survey form:

1. Step 1 - Basic Information:
   • Select your country
   • Enter firm/organization name
   • Provide contact details
   • Select firm size and sector
2. Step 2 - Survey Questions:
   • Read each question carefully
   • Select appropriate responses
   • Provide additional comments if needed
   • Use the progress bar to track completion
3. Step 3 - Review & Submit:
   • Review your responses
   • Make any necessary corrections
   • Click "Submit Survey"

View aggregated survey results:

1. Click "Survey Results & Analytics" from dashboard
2. Select filters:
   • Country
   • Year
   • Survey module
3. View results in charts and tables
4. Analyze trends and patterns

Results include:

• Response Statistics: Total responses, participation rates
• Score Categories: Excellent, Very Good, Good, Average, Below Average, Poor
• Demographics: Breakdown by sector, firm size, country
• Trends: Changes over time

Download survey data for analysis:

1. Go to "Export Survey Data"
2. Select export format:
   • Excel (.xlsx)
   • CSV (.csv)
3. Choose filters (country, year)
4. Click "Download Data"
5. Open file in Excel or your preferred tool

Create detailed country-specific reports:

1. Navigate to "Country Reports"
2. Select your country
3. Choose assessment year
4. View comprehensive report with:
   • Executive summary
   • Detailed statistics
   • Charts and visualizations
   • Recommendations
5. Download as PDF or print

Cannot Login:

• Check your email and password
• Use "Forgot Password" to reset
• Clear browser cache and cookies
• Try a different browser

Survey Not Saving:

• Check your internet connection
• Don't close the browser while submitting
• Try submitting again
• Contact support if issue persists

Cannot View Results:

• Ensure you have proper permissions
• Check if data is available for selected filters
• Refresh the page
• Contact your administrator
