How the Score is Calculated
The Trade Readiness Scorecard combines data from all three AIDA assessment tools into a single composite index (0-100):
- Trade Potential (35%) — Based on AfCFTA-eligible products identified and import diversity from the Future Impact Assessment
- Enabling Environment (35%) — Average indicator performance across customs, infrastructure, and finance from the Enabling Environment Assessment
- Industrial Capacity (30%) — Average readiness across production, technology, skills, market access, and finance from the Industrialization Assessment
Countries are scored only on completed assessments. The composite normalizes to account for partially assessed countries, ensuring fair comparison.
